Mr H set to hit North America!!

Dj BoNeZ at it again--Straight No Chaser is the forthcoming debut solo album from British singer Mr Hudson. If you haven't heard of him, search him and the track Supernova ft Kanye West and i'm sure most of you heard that track. Straight No Chaser is a follow up to the last album he recorded with his backing band, named Mr Hudson & The Library. It is set to be released on October 5, 2009 and i can't wait to hear all the songs. Straight No Chaser is produced by Kanye West and should be fucking amazing!!!
His style of music is different and hard to explain, its kinda like Electro-hop mixed with Sting voice lol. Its crazy i'm sure he's going to blow up here. He's well known in the UK and and i truly love his music and hope he does well here.

Heres one of his latest track "time"

Heartless Cover- The Fray

What's poppin'? its your boy Dj BoNeZ here with a nice cover of kanye west's hit heartless by The Fray. I really like The Fray and love this song. Its an amazing combo and the lead singer of the fray has awesome voice. But speaking of great combos and Kanye, i look forward to hearing Kanye's new stuff. He is currently working with lady gaga and apparently their going to tour together and are going to have their big hits remastered, should be a sick combo!!...anywayz peace!!

NEW AKON BABY!

Pitbull pretends like this is his song, but we know better.

New Chris Brown and Juelz Santana

I found this with the help of my TRINI GAL!

Ali Farka Toure

So I was at work the other day and this came up on the playlist and I really enjoyed listening to some of his music. If you're a fan of Amadou & Mariam and John Lee Hooker, then Ali Farka Toure is probably your style.

For those who don't know John Lee Hooker, or aren't sure, you may know this song of his:

Perpetuum Jazzlie

I usually find this sort of thing impressive haha. Honda used this sort of thing for one of their commercials once as well it was really interesting. It is truly amazing what people can do!

Perpetuum Jazzlie

Honda Commercial

The Noisettes

Unfortunately they've disabled the embedding feature for these two songs so you have to just follow the link. I discovered these guys earlier on this year I think in January or February. There album was recently released and are already becoming quite popular. Hope you guys enjoy them as much as I do.

Yorkfest K'naan

Hey just got some videos on K'naan from September 23rd, 2009 by yours truly. The video quality is actually pretty good. The only problem is that the camera is a bit shaky at points and the waving hands in front of the camera but that's all part of the experience baby! Anyways enjoy! There are a total of 6 parts and I got there late so I couldn't get all the songs that he played such as Fatima. I'm just gonna post one of the songs and you guys can check out the other videos on my channel on youtube.

Ichi Ban Swag Surfers

If I was in a dance crew in Japan, I'd definitely make sure our name was Team Rocket, but thats just me...
These guys are called Peanut Gang and they're from Osaka, but judging from their videos, they probably wish they were born in the dirty dirty.

Okay so since this is a blog about music, I think it stands to reason we should talk about the current Muchmusic VJ search. Now I've been hearing a lot of decent things about some of the contestants, but actually didn't start caring until I found out that a good friend of mine is trying out (VOTE FOR MALAYIKA NDACYAYISENGA AND YES THAT IS HER ACTUAL REAL NAME!!! BTW
http://vj.muchmusic.com/gallery/560#gallery ). SO I decided hey ahyt not check who else is going out for this, so after going through about 300 contestans, I stumbled across one that completely threw me off. |His name is |Erik Flowchild and he is a fairly well known underground hiphop artist who's worked with the likes of Talib Kweli and does pretty well for more info check out this Link

Dat Kid, Cudi from Cleveland delivers!

Dj BoNeZ back at it again! I know that some of you have been waiting to hear the album and my review (but ive had trouble uploading them and i don't know how to, but feel free to try to do so for me hahaha) with that here is my fav track and my short review for you to listen/read to.

With production from Kanye West, Emile, MGMT and these new cats Ratatat, who i believe produced the best track on the album "Alive" are super dope too. Mr. Cudi's talent and creativity has been put on display with this album. The album takes us on a crazy journey through space with music in a weird way. The cool thing about Cudi is that he's an R&B singer, rapper and has some of the best production I have ever heard on a hip-hop record in awhile. In a way you can't put this cat in a category and i think the alive trak is the best example of his talent. As a newcomer, i feel this is the best way of displaying his talent and i think it puts him in front of all the other new cats, like drake and asher roth. Cudi's creativity on this album is something to be truly admired. He has a unique style that cannot be cop'd. There is soooo much i could say about this album but ill leave it up to you in the comments part hahaha.
Pe@ce!!!

Best Songs: "Alive" “Pursuit Of Happiness,” “Sky Might Fall,” “Soundtrack To My Life"

Ps I know brotha darkness has some words to say, so feel free bro and if you could add the other tracks that would be sick too thankz

The 7 Steps to Blessings

Alright, so on the real Drake's new So Far Gone EP is about $7.00, but
that probably has to do with the fact that there is only like seven
tracks on it. With that being said, it's an EP which by it's nature is
supposed to be a small release, like a late day snack before dinner.
On top of that it's a pretty decent track listing the original 18 or
19 tracklisting is gone which leads me to believe that either those
tracks haven't been as successful as "Successful" or "Best I Ever Had"
so they've been scrapped or he's savin them for later at which point
you can 'Thank Me Later' for preventing people for calling out for his
blood.

Oh, before I forget, I'm pretty sure "Congratulations" isn't on the
new EP as he previously promised. They decided to rather add the brand
new track "Fear" which although I'm pretty sure I downloaded a week or
two ago but just listened to for the first time on the bus ride to
class today. No lie when I took that track in, I was goin crazy
because that track has the ability to speak to everyone who hears it.
Aubrey Graham deserves a round of applause, your respect and a little
change in his pocket cuz we al know his main source of income was
performimg and with a torn ACL, well... you already where I'm going
with this.

P.S. Watch out for Bonez cuz he's gonna be dropping that Man on The
Moon: End of Day either today or tomorrow.

Alright, I've said my piece. You can cut me up if you want to, I
really don't care. And with the tip of my hat, I fade into the back.

Crazy Violin

Yo I'm sure everyone has heard the song "Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley, but I got something different for y'all today. It's the same song but its been revamped by a violinist. I personally wasn't a big fan of the orignal song but this one makes it sound sick! Check it out!

Tuesday, September 15

For all of you who have been living under a rack for the Last I dunno...let's say 8 months you've heard and probably loved The So Far Gone Mixtape from Drake and also might not have heard it if it wasn't for free. well that time has now come and gone and today is the day that all changes. Drake now on the Young Money Label has released So Far Gone as an EP which is officially in stores now for the ridiculously reasonable price of reportedly $6.99+tax. Now those who have the free download may wonder why would I bother myself with buying it when I already have all the songs? Not True as it turns out apart from a new album cover, this EP has new tracks such as "Fear", "I'm Going In w/ Lil Wayne and Young Jeezy" and possible that Super track "Forever" (no guarantees though). So before going to work, Imma head to HMV and check it out, and tell you what I think tonight.

-Peace-

Listening Party

Trying something today, The Blueprint 3 dropped recently and unfortunately I was too tied up to do this earlier. But how about we host a listening party for his new album. Feel free to post any comments you have about any or all the songs.
P.S. I pretty sure I deactivated the download capabilities, so don't bother trying.

Alright, I've sadi my piece, now you can cut me up if you want I really ain't scared. And with a tip of my hat, I fade into the back...

Beatboxing Battles

I don't know if you guys have ever seen these but they're always pretty amazing to me to see!

What is also pretty good is when they include harmonicas, which is pretty interesting. When the harmonica is played well it is an enjoyable instrument.

KID CUDI "PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS" (FEAT. MGMT & RATATAT)

Dj BoNeZ back at it again...this is simply cudi at his best... this is going to be a big hit when the album drops tomorrow

L'Ours

This has nothing to do with music but it is sure to be the most dramatic 3 minutes and 54 seconds of your life in terms of a movie clip experience! Try not to fight it because this is all sorts of crazy suspense! My nails were digging into my skin with fear and terror!!

WASN'T THAT CRAZY!!!!! DID YOU HEAR THE LAUGH IN YOUR HEAD?!?!

I Am T-Pain

I shared this with DJ Bonez the other day and it has just been going crazy on the internet! It is amazing how many people are talking about this new i-phone application. Pretty soon if it hasn't already happened, people are going to be auto-tuning their pets haha.

That old man is golden!

Jabba!

I came across this little gem today and thought that all the Star Wars fans would deeply appreciate this.

The Next Big Thing

Image

Nadir Khayat - Nadir "Red One" Khayat

Dj BoNeZ back at it again, this time with the next big producer in the game- RedOne- is a Moroccan born producer, best known for his work with Akon, Colby O'donis, Lady Gaga, Sean Kingston, Kat DeLuna, (the late MJ, he was set to produce most of the new MJ album with Akon) and many more. Although he does mostly pop music hes starting to produce more hip hop/techno beats. Keep an eye out for him...peace!

Raekwon ft. Busta Rhymes - About Me

New song from Raekwon from the Wu-Tang clang, produced by Dr. Dre, so you know it's going to be rocking. I personally enjoyed the song, it had a nice solid beat and good lyrics to go with it. It's going to be on the upcoming album "Only Built 4 Cuban Linx II". So check it out!

Get Yer Sway On

This track "I'm So High" by Grind Mode blew up down in the 305 a couple years back. Its the biggest track in the Miami Jook movement (not to be confused with Juke music from Chicago). Grind Mode are to Jook, what New Boyz are to Jerk, and the two styles of dance are similar in a few ways, but Jooking to me is more entertaining to watch and it looks a little more difficult.

Mali to Brooklyn

Seeing the name of this group on Sarah's itunes the other day reminded me how much I like this track of theirs. Its called "Triste Réalité" and its by Malian duo Amadou & Mariam and featuring Neg Marrons.

Also, I just heard the first single off my favorite Hassidic reggae artist's new album and I really like the song, plus the video is good too. Here's "One Day" by Matisyahu
