. This song is called For Your Love produced by MR. Louis Vuitton Don himself, Kanye West.Now I've heard maybe 3 or 4 other tracks rumoured to be on the album, but this is not one of them. Once it drops I look foward to postin it if someone else doesn't beat me to it. Regardless have fun with that as I'm sure it's gonna be a crazy track even if it isn't right away. Y'all remember how I felt about Over in the beginning and then how I felt about it after a while. In any case, make your own judgement call.
Also slated to be released today is the video for the first official single off of Lupe Fiasco-I'm Beaming, I'm sure we've all heard it by now. As reported by  by The Lup E.N.D. Blog and via Twitter, it was slated for a few days ago, but there was a delay because I think the editing wasn't complete. Wouldn't be the first time this has happened to any artist so don't hold it against him.

NIKKI is literally...

So me and a friend a couple of weeks back were having a convo around Nikki Minaj, and how she is literally everywhere doing everything. I'm not personally her biggest fan, I like my tunes to make sense to me when I'm listening to them and not all hers do for me. Tho when she does something I like, she does it really well she is a lot like Lil' Wayne for me in this way. So here she is featured on reggae artist Gyptian's track "Hold Yuh". This is one of those well done tracks for me.

Please don't hate I know their are some die hard fans out there for Nikki but notice I said *to me* we all have our own opinion.

Let me know what u think, been away for a while but i'm working on a post featuring a series of DJ clashes and counteractions and I'm finding that i'm being really wordy with them, so i'm trying to trim them hopefully next week they will be ready.

Finally an official music video for this track. You may remember this fron a few weeks back here's Aloe Blacc-I Need a Dollar. this video looks really good especially with the grainy cinematography that's very common when depicting New York City.


Let's keep with the theme of the oldschool vibe from new school cats. This is is a cat from Cali though, yes ladies and gentlemen  Mayer Hawthorne once again. I've hit y'all up with tracks from him in the past that I just couldn't get enough of ("Green Eyed Love Remix" and "I Left My Heart in San Francisco") Here is one more which is actually my favourite track from that same album titled "I Wish that it Would Rain". I Wish That it Would rain is the name of the song, the album itself is called A Strange Arrangement. This dude's shit is so dope, creative and original. Anyone interested in hearing more lemme know so I can hook you up.



Movin on to some more old by the new, we find ourselves once again visiting Brooklyn. I heard this guy about a year ago at Rock the Bells while he was performing as a part of Slaughterhouse, who themselves are not that bad. In any case his name is Joell Ortiz, due is dope and then I saw the music video for his song "Call Me" ft. Novel back in February and always intended to post his stuff and download, but never got the chance, Februrary was a hectic month, he was hard to download and March was just fucked.
Anywaaay I love his throwback vibe and swag that is reminiscent of early 90s hip-hop. Not to mention the horns in this song are dope, if they are not sampled from something in the 60s, it's definitley inspired by it.
Yo, near the end of the song, there is a guy in what looks like a New York Knicks jacket and a high-top fade. Doesn't he sorta look like Rakim?


Have you ever noticed how heavily hip-hop especially from the East (New York, Philidelphia and Chicago{which I know is more mid-west}) have horns in their music, a very industiral instrument in it's own right to creatively express the more industrial cities in our society. Sorry just me goin off on a tangent again, just be glad I didn't post Superfast Jellyfish from Gorillaz. I could write an essay based off of that song.

Mr. Bonez here with some Canadian pop music. Some of you might know the face above or have heard of him and his brother Danny Fernandes. Its Shawn Desman, he is back with a new album titled- Fresh- expected to be released in May/June 2010. He is the older of the two and i think is more talented. I really like this song, its called Shiver. It gets stuck in your head all day tho...check it out....peace!

Today's as good a day as any considering today is the Opening Night for the Kick-Ass movie in Canada.

My favourite tracks are from The Prodigy. Man. When was the last time you heard from The Prodigy? "Take my Picture, smak my bitch Up!!" sorry i just had to say that line.

Another good track is The Hit-Girls: Bad Reputation, it's the one in all the trailers.

Now as someone who has read the comic and been following this movie since day one, I am fuckin AMPED for this film, and I know it won't dissappoint. FYI A lot of things changed from the movie and the comics, this actually might be for the better. 
Regardless, Kick-Ass is gonna kick ass and you better get in line to see it. The music all in all is pretty cool and definitley has my respect and I think it will garner some of yours. Especiall Slam's God I love that kid's style. We also have Nicholas Cage and Adam West proving how nerdy and what big fan boys they are.

Some news, some songs

So according to Eminem's twitter site which I have kinda been following for the past week, there is supposed to be some big news coming. But earlier today, he updated it and it said that there is no Relapse 2 anymore. Not quite sure what to think of that. He might just be renaming it or could be another delay or something. But since he put that there is big news coming, I wouldn't worry about it much. OR it could be in reference to Detox coming out soon because according to Dre, Jay-Z and himself have a single coming out in a week or two called "Under Pressure", so look out for that.

And here are a couple of songs I came across.
Here is a remix of Hold Yuh by Gyptian ft. Nicki Minaj. It's real tight I must say, so definitely check it out. She only has one verse in it though...
Two new B.o.B songs from his upcoming album "B.o.B Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray". Both are pretty good. I'd look out for his album when it drops on April 27, 2010. It's shaping up to be pretty good so far.
PS: The song 'Airplanes' is gonna have a part 2 with none other then my man Eminem, so look out for that.
And a new club banger by none other than Flo Rida and T-Pain himself called "Zoosk Girl". It's not as good as "Low" and its definitely not as good as "Right Round" but its still gets you moving. I expected better but what can we do, I'm sure it will probably grow on me anyways. Oh and he has an album coming out this year/summer as well called "The Only One".

Good Copy Bad Copy

This is an excellent documentary about "the current state of copyright and culture" by Andreas Johnsen, Ralf Christensen, and Henrik Moltke. It gets into the politics and history at play in the relatively recent trend of free and bootleg media sharing. The documentary crew interviewed a wide range of people who play a part in different sides of the the debate on music and movie piracy. They talk to the Motion Picture Association of America, the people at The Pirate Bay, Creative Commons, bootleg DVD salesmen in Moscow, Nollywood producers in Lagos, Techno Brega artists in Brazil, as well as a few American artists who are well known for their terrific acts of copyright infringement; Girl Talk, and DJ Danger Mouse. So if you got an hour to spare sometime and want to learn a little bit about all the politics and philosophies behind all this free shit we get, its definitely worth the watch.
